How do I Know if my pool is LEAKING?
You don't always know. There are many factors including heaters, evaporation, splash out, backwashing and rainfall, all affecting the water level in a pool. Seasoned pool owners have a much better sense to recognize a leak as opposed to normal water loss. For a newer pool owner, it can be difficult. A bucket test is the simplest, most effective way to determine if your pool is leaking. See the next FAQ for instructions. It can get a bit complicated on a pool without walk in or drop in steps. Another simple suggestion would be to reach out to a neighbor with a similar pool and ask them to monitor their water level.

- You can weight the bucket with a brick or some type of weight to stabilize the bucket.
- Use water from the pool to fill the bucket.
- Let the bucket sit at least 24 hrs. before checking.
- Heaters should be off during the test.
- The test should be done twice. Once with the filter on, and then again with the filter off.
What is included in the price?
The liner will be scanned utilizing the Anderson Leak Trac 2400. The underground plumbing lines, wall skimmers, and lights will be inspected utilizing equipment by Leaktronics. We will also perform a visual inspection of the filter pad and surrounding area. Pressure testing and camera inspection is not part of the service. Base price is based on pool size, location of pool and other variables.
What repairs are included in the service?
The service includes up to 6 vinyl or epoxy repairs that do not require construction. If there were an extreme number of leaks (12 or more) the liner would be considered not repairable. You will still be billed for the service.
What if you don't find a leak?
We will first confirm prior to servicing the pool that it's leaking based on the information provided. If we can't identify the leak, we may suggest additional testing including pressure testing and or camera inspection, which would be an additional charge.
